About us
Since 2010, Kumsitz e.V. has offered Israeli and German-Israeli families in Berlin a vibrant community centered around language, culture, and exchange. Our goal is to promote and facilitate the experience of Jewish-Israeli culture in a secular context and to strengthen Hebrew language skills.
Our main focus is on working with children ages 3 to 11. We strengthen their Hebrew language skills and their connection to Israeli culture through creative activities such as singing, arts & crafts, theater, and music, using a "Hebrew School" approach. We place particular emphasis on teaching values such as openness, tolerance, and friendship.
We also organize events for parents – on topics such as multilingualism, identity, education and integration.
